Project Details
Plywood is a wood-layered material with at least three layers. Layers are veneer or tree bark. In the manufacture, the veneer is placed in each layer perpendicular to the previous one, therefore the density and strength increase, and the composition used for gluing the layers increases the moisture resistance.
Birch plywood refers to the deciduous type of building plywood. Birch veneer is a very strong and dense material that has a uniform structure.
The density of such plywood is approximately 650 kg / m3, i.e. a sheet of such material is 20% stronger than that of a different type of wood, but natural resins are not present in it at all, and it costs more.
It is used mainly where unique properties of wood are required: strength and lightness. This is, first of all, large-scale and private construction, as well as car building, automotive industry, shipbuilding, packaging production.
